The artists, working togheter as sign and letter disigners merging craft and painting, made a series of original paintings on this Citroën DS' body. The painted signs are reapropriations of formerly functioning vintage graphic trademarks or are their pastiche equivalents. Citroën DS - an industrial design and popular culture cult-object of 20th century, was in production between 1955 and 1975. With its signature aerodynamic shape, it was frequently used in car rallies such as Monte Carlo rallies 1959. As a nostalgia awaking gadget re-interpreted by the arists, this vehicule is taking us for a ride into atmospher of French New Wave cinema.
